About Laura Holliday

Laura Holliday (she/they) is a chronically ill and neurodivergent singer-songwriter, interdisciplinary artist, and former theater kid, originally from rural West Virginia.

As a filmmaker and performer, Laura has created work for Comedy Central, Funny or Die, Lifetime, and more, and was awarded a fellowship by Sundance Institute in 2017.

Their song "Vigilant" can be heard in both the feature film and the trailer for "Disfluency," distributed by Buffalo 8, and their song "Forward" can be heard in the Sundance-selected short film "Balloon Animals." For three years Laura was an assistant at W.F Leopold Management, the boutique company that managed Melissa Etheridge for three decades. Laura made it to the executive callback round of "The Voice" and is heavily devoted to the craft of songwriting, and toplining specifically.

She self-released an EP called "Pop Psychology" in 2019, and debuted those songs live at a house show as the opener at a for Chappell Roan, pre-word domination. Since then Laura has been consistently self-releasing new singles with producer and collaborator Alyssa Wilkens, developing her craft and voice.

Recently Laura was the featured artist at "Neuro Dive," a live showcase of neurodiverse artists in Los Angeles. Laura is (slowly) developing a one person show that blends their music and comedic storytelling. They attended the 2025 PopOut and Concord Music Publishing Camp and are excited for more opportunities to write collaboratively, learn from others, and contribute to other artists' projects.

Laura also works as a voice actor and can be found doing weird voices in their walk in closet studio most days.
