About Jay Pocknell

Jay is a mixing engineer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Bristol, UK. He is credited on several UK top-10 releases including a Number 1 album. He primarily works with emerging independent artists, many of which have been selected for BBC radio play.

Jay is partially sighted and founded ’Sound Without Sight’, an online community hub aimed at connecting VI musicians to resources, opportunities, and support. The project aspires to become the go-to directory for access solutions relevant to blind and partially sighted musicians, also providing a platform to increase representation and visibility of VI talent. He also works as Music Support Officer at the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).

Jay also has experience in other areas of the music industry, including festival curation, technical coordination of events, artist development, A&R, and marketing.
