About Jacq Cerra

Jacq Cerra is the founder of Urban Beat Wave LLC, a music company operating across artist development, management, recording, publishing, and music rights transactions. He began managing artists at 16 and, by 17, helped secure the company’s first major publishing deal before entering active duty military service. During his two years on active duty, Cerra continued managing artists while stationed overseas, balancing military responsibilities with the development of Urban Beat Wave and its roster. Following his military service, he returned his focus to the music business as a disabled veteran and continued expanding the company’s operations.

Today, Cerra leads A&R, roster development, release planning, and rights strategy, working directly with artists, labels, publishers, and industry partners. His experience also includes music catalog transactions, including brokering catalog deals and facilitating the sale of international record labels and music assets. He serves as a coordination point between artists and industry partners, overseeing release setup, metadata, splits, publishing information, ownership structure, and rights documentation to ensure recordings and compositions are properly registered, accounted for, and positioned for long term value.

His work focuses on helping artists and rights holders move beyond simply releasing music and toward operating with clear business structures, accurate credits, organized ownership, properly managed rights, and long term control of their catalogs.
