About Ethan Boras

Ethan Boras is a versatile drummer, at ease in any musical situation. A graduate of The Berklee College of Music, he was raised on classic rock and opera, and started playing when he was about 10. Ethan has gigged with local bands at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ, opened for Kix at the Bergen Performing Arts Center, and performed in showcases emceed by Don Jameson from That Metal Show - all before he was 18! Ethan became a drummer for the punk band The Undead, fronted by ex-Misfit Bobby Steele while also playing in two other local bands - he was in high demand.

After taking lessons at the School of Rock, Ethan became a student of Chad Szeliga from Breaking Benjamin and Black Label Society. Soon after, Ethan was accepted into The Berklee College of Music, and despite his expressive and receptive language disorder, he graduated in 2020.

Ethan’s newest project is as a drummer in “Juma Sultan’s Unificication” - a seven-piece musical combo headed by Juma, a free-jazz pioneer who’s recorded with Archie Shepp, Sonny Simmons, Noah Howard, James “Blood” Ulmer, and played with Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock as part of Jimi’s backing band that day, the Gypsy Sun and Rainbows.

Ethan also drums for his older brother Max’s instrumental progressive hard rock band, and still gigs occasionally with The Undead.
