RAMPD Receives Support from the Ford Foundation Arts and Culture Program
On the heels of receiving an EDDIE Award from Synergies Work, recognition by the UN-Supported Zero Project, end praise for our work bringing accessibility to the GRAMMY Awards, RAMPD has received funding fro the Ford Foundation’s Creativity and Free Expression Arts and Culture Program to aid in our work amplifying Disability Culture, inclusion and representation in the music industry.
With this grant we will bring on staff to up programming, outreach and opportunities in order place music workers and creators with disabilities right alongside our non-disabled colleagues at the top. You see, we are not charity cases, but competitors and deserve to respected, heard and paid as such. Our unique perspectives, stories and contributions deserve to be celebrated. And this grand paradigm shift on how disability is viewed, starts with elevating our Disability Culture. And how is culture best elevated? Through music!
We are honored for this recognition from Ford, and I am humbled to be working with not only subh an amazing team, but such a passionate, vibrant community!
