As a global network of established artists, composers, music supervisors–and everything in between–with disabilities, we've been on a mission since launching in 2022 to amplify Disability Culture and promote inclusion in the music industry. Netflix will sponsor a RAMPD program which will help in efforts to develop disabled composers, songwriters and Below-the-Line music creators. The event will comprise a roundtable and Q&A with Netflix music decision-makers from the world of series and trailers.

Recent studies show that 1 in 2 musicians with disabilities encounter access barriers and about 60% have their access requirements ignored. This is generally due to lack of industry awareness, along with a skewed societal perception. 70% of musicians with disabilities do not disclose due to concerns it would damage a professional relationship, thus RAMPD’s mission is to fortify awareness and advocate equitable access, not only physically, but in regards to opportunity.

"RAMPD’s Professional membership comprises music creators who’ve traversed a not-so-inclusive industry to establish a professional career,” says @LachiMusic , Founder/President of RAMPD. “Our initiative with Netflix is set to address the need for more composers and songwriters with disabilities to make a sustainable living creating, while bridging the gap between disabled creators and the decision makers behind the trailer and ads music we hear everyday on Netflix.”

The event will be open to RAMPD Professional Members, held virtually on November 4th. For more information on how to become a member, head to rampd.org/register . For more information on how to partner with RAMPD, head to rampd.org/partner
